SIBCO is announcing that is has signed a distributor agreement with Micro-tec Company, Ltd. of Urayasu-City, Chiba Pref. Japan.
SIBCO has acquired the distribution rights for the sales of Micro-tec screen and stencil printers for the European and Chinese markets. The Micro-tec printing systems are regarded as the best quality screen printers in the world for Solar Cell and HTCC/LTCC green tape and hybrid ceramic circuit printing. 
With the Micro-tec printers SIBCO can offer complete configurable lines for printing, drying, and firing in the PV cell production process. 
With this new step from Micro-tec to offer their patented printing technology for PV cell to the international market, the printing technology that was first exclusively for Japanese PV cell manufacturers is now available for international customers.

SIBCO is announcing the opening of its first office in the People's Republic of China.
In August SIBCO opened its first office in Dalian, Liaoning Province, PR China. With the opening of this office SIBCO is establishing a firm foothold in China which will benefit its Chinese customers with local sales and service and support. Starting as a sales and marketing office it will soon change to a full service office with application and service engineers to support the customers in China.

SIBCO has acquired the assets, IP and technology from MIDAS Vision Systems, Inc..
SIBCO is proud to announce the acquisition of the MIDAS technology and IP and will continue to design, manufacture and market the MIDAS AOI system under the SIBCO LLC name. The brandname Midasvision will be continued and the well known MIDAS Vision AOI systems, MIDAS CC-1000, MIDAS CC-1010, MIDAS CC-1210M,  MIDAS CC-1210, MIDAS FLX-1210, MIDAS FLX-1410 and MIDAS VRS-1200/1400, will be continued to be manufactured and serviced from the SIBCO LLC office in Franklin, Massachusetts.
We are happy that the engineering, sales and marketing and manufacturing staff have joined SIBCO LLC  and will continue to service the MIDAS customers with the commitment and effort that MIDAS Vision Systems Inc. has always given to its customers.

SIBCO annnounces it has signed contracts with a Beijing based customer for the delivery of multiple systems for a medium volume LTCC production line.
SIBCO is proud to announce a Beijing based world leader in the design and manufacturing of microwave circuits has chosen SIBCO for the setup and delivery of a LTCC production line in Beijing, China. Under the contract SIBCO will deliver, install and service and support multiple production systems in 2007 and 2008 to manufacture micro-wave circuits in LTCC ceramic packaging technology. With this contract SIBCO is expanding its customer base which will lead towards a firm establishment of SIBCO in China. We thank our customer for their trust in SIBCO and we will strive towards total customer satisfaction.

SIBCO will host a LTCC Product Design and Manufacturing Seminar  at “The 5th Seminar of Test Tech & Market for Semiconductor Packaging 2007”, sponsored by the China Electronic Packaging Society from the 29th May through the 31st May,2007 in Suzhou. This seminar will focus on the latest technologies, materials and practices in LTCC design and manufacturing.

SIBCO announces it has signed an agreement with IMST GmbH of Kamp-Lintfort, Germany.
SIBCO and IMST have joined forces to provide customer in China, Taiwan, Japan and Korea with design services, prototyping, design technology transfer and design tools. Wiht this cooperation with IMST GmbH SIBCO is to say that we can now offer the best design technology in RF, Micro-wave and mm-wave component and module design in mulit-layer  design technology and especially in multi-layer HTCC/LTCC ceramic packaging technology. IMST GmbH, since its incubation in 1992, has developed a unique leading position in the world in the design and testing of high frequency components and modules for communication, sensing and automotive applications.

January, 2006
SIBCO successfully negotiated an investment project in Hebei province, P.R. China. This JV will setup a production facility of 34,000 m2 with a combined Chinese/international management. The total JV investment is 24 million USD and the JV is expected to start production in 2008.

October, 2005
SIBCO organized a trade delegation visit to Massachusetts from the City of Dalian, P.R. China. Under the leadership of the Mayor of Dalian, a city of  million people, the delegation's objective was to find Massachusetts based companies in the fields of pharmaceutical research, development and production, biotech and maritime and shipping. The delegation met with Governor Mitt Romney and signed a cooperation agreement between Massport and the harbor of Dalian.

SIBCO successfully concluded a contract negotiation between a Dutch company and a company from Wenzhou for the transfer of design technology from the Dutch company and the subsequent manufacturing and supply of the products by the Chinese company to the Dutch partner.

Ton Schless, SIBCO's CEO, is recognized by the Liaoning Province, P.R. China, as a valuable contributor to the development of the international relationship between Liaoning Province and US and European companies, institutes, universities and government bodies. Vice-Governor Teng Weiping awarded Ton Schless with a advisory position to the Liaoning Government for investments in high tech and new technology.

In August a Chinese trade delegation under the leadership of Vice-Governor Teng Weiping of Liaoning Province visited Massachusetts. The goal of the trade delegation was to setup cooperation between Liaoning Province based and Massachusetts based pharmaceutical companies, institutes and universities.
The delegation met with Lt. Governor Kerry Healy and the Mayor of Cambridge, Michael Sullivan.
The 5 day visit was concluded successfully with the signing of several contracts which will benefit Massachusetts and Liaoning Province.
